Moon elves are the most common sort of elves in FAerûn. Also called silver elves, they have fair skin (sometimes tinged with blue) and hair of silver-white, black, or blue. (Humanlike colors are rare, but possible.) Their eyes are blue or green, with gold flecks. They are the elven subrace most tolerant of humankind, and most half-elves are descended from moon elves.

Moon elven domains can be found in the woodlands of the Dalelands (Cormanthor), Evermeet, the High Forest, the North, Silverymoon, and the Western Heartlands. Evereska, on the western edges of Anauroch, is the strongest elven domain remaining in Faerûn. The moon elf entry on table 1-4: Character Regions (FRCS, p. 30) describes characters from any small elven forest comunity.

Unlike statet in the Player's Handbook, characters in the Forgotten Realms almost always have a patron deity. See FRCS p. 39 for more details.

Racial Traits

Moon elves have all the elven racial traits given in Chapter 2 of the Player's Handbook (pp. 15) except automatic and bonus languages as mentioned above.
